Q: Who or What inspires you? Why?
A: Honestly, I am inspired by stewing over the meaning of life -- why we are here and what it is all for. As an artist (and spiritualist) I tend to revel in the divine nuances of human life... of beauty, nature, health, relationships, the powers of simple energy, dreams, heroic acts, big or small, of individuals who spend their lives achieving great feats and helping others, etc. All of these things essentially inspire me and bring context and meaning to my work as an artist/person. Films, travel, and great cooks also inspire me a great deal. Oh yes, and my mother. :)
Q: What does creativity mean to you?
A: Creativity is in everything, in everyone. Without creativity, we die. Creating things is the only way to keep life moving, to be excited about something, to feel essential and even powerful! True artists, whose calling is to heighten or exploit the idea of creativity, are in the business of using their gifts to elicit feeling and/or to shed some sort of perspective on life as we know it. Great artists change lives. Great art tells stories. Some stories document life so well that it sheds considerable light on the histories of human kind! Paintings, sculpture, songs, literature, etc. Its fascinating.
Q: What is your favorite place in the world?
A: A stage or a dance floor. You can find those anywhere.
A: Laughing really, really hard until I cant breathe. And this usually involves great company. Simply the best. And, the sun.
Q: What are the causes you care about? How do you actively support these causes with your time, money or other method/resource?
A: I care a lot about human rights, health, environmental issues and education. That's a lot of things... but its true. On a personal level, I do my best to purchase good, local food (tell others about it) and recycle everything. I have also taught acting and music to many a gang banger in my day. :)
Q: What question do you want to ask me?
A: I prepared a statement, and that statement is: Nyenye, you are the bomb.

Q: What question do you wish I asked you and what is your answer to it?
A: Do i like long walks on the beach, fine dining, kool-aid, social experiments, and sexy people? yes, yes, sometimes yes, what does that mean?, and hell to the yeyah!
@NMK: beach = yes! fine dining = yes! kool-aid = no. social experiments = ahhnn. sexy people = what does sexy mean exactly?

She graduated from NYU's TISCH School of the Arts as a University Scholar, and has since traveled around the US, Europe, West Africa and Brazil performing, learning and teaching.
